Punjab in Karlsruhe

Very very good Indian. Great food and especially the dishes from the tandoori oven are recommended! Always love to come back.

One star is still too many! As an allergy sufferer, you should definitely avoid this restaurant. Very unfriendly and despite hints they served me a meal with things that I am allergic to. Fortunately, I noticed that in time! When I kindly pointed this out and asked for another meal they got rude. Never again!!!

To start with something positive I have to say the food was good. On my first visit to Punjab, the unfriendly treatment of the guests bothered me the most and I had hoped that this would be an exception. Everyone has a bad day. However, you shouldn't leave this out on your guests. The wrong food came on my second visit, which I pointed out directly. The reaction here was so unfriendly that I would have loved to leave the restaurant. The third visit was only intended as a pick-up, as the food, as already mentioned, is good. They said I should be there in 20-30 minutes and of course I was on time. On site, however, I had to wait another 60 minutes until I had my meal and, like many others who were annoyed about their long wait, I was also fluffed. That was definitely my last time in Punjab Karlsruhe. By the way, payment is only possible in cash, which is nowhere mentioned. One should also mention that they do not adhere to the lockdown light regulations. (The photo shows the € 18 serving of rice with three prawns from my last visit)

Awesome place to have a nice authentic Indian meal, ambience is cosy and great, food is made to perfection and the owners are genuinely friendly. The lentil soup is just perfect, their Tandoori's gravy is probably the best Indian gravy I've ever had (including my time in Dubai). Highly recommended by all means!

Food was good the service mixed. The ladies weren't exactly attentive. The decor of the restaurant is nice. Had to wait a long time for a glass of red wine, then checked again.

You have come to the right place if your into Indian food. The best Indian far and wide. We like Indian food very much and have tried a few and this is where it tastes best. It has seats both inside and outside. On top of that, there is friendly service. It is advisable to reserve by phone in advance.

Unfortunately, the wrong food was delivered more than twice and a soup was forgotten. If you call to let them know, you will be treated extremely rudely. The soup was settled. A refund is not offered. We'll never order again ..

Authentic Indian food in a nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices and a wide selection of dishes. Worth a visit.

It's always fine and we had a great evening there. The staff worked hard, clean and friendly. The local is very easy to reach! The favorable transport connection makes a jaunt there quickly feasible, I can say that until now nothing has disappointed us! The place was a good experience in my mouth every time.

Super professional massage, the studio was clean and nicely decorated, kneaded for the first time after 37 years and it was really good. I will definitely come back again.

Very dude and grumpy lady owner. Long waiting time and slow service. The lady was so rude that we don't even dare to ask for a box to take back food. Food was so so.

Very unfriendly staff, expensive prices. Long waiting time, it took 90 minutes for our order to come but luckily it was delicious.

Restaurant has Best taste of indian food in karlsruhe. But the lady over there has a rude behavior towards her fellow indians.

Taste wise, it’s mild here. Probably suited to local. I personally prefer stronger taste when I eat Indian food. Still delicious. White and dark blue themed interior, looks new. Service is standard, took a long time to prepare the food - probably cos we came when they just opened. Price is high, in my opinion, cos I had better and cheaper elsewhere before.

Have visited the place twice,food is average and bit expensive .We were two people,they gave us a place to sit after the place was vacant but ,after we ordered main course they forced us to order more stating that the seats were vacated for you. I am giving two rating only for their beautiful interior.

Stayed there during the week for dinner. Inside, the restaurant is very stylish and comfortably furnished. The wait staff were very friendly and courteous but never intrusive. Food selection is very varied and make you want more. The food was delicious and definitely worth a visit! All in all a very nice evening.

Food is excellent, we had Alu Paratha, Muttar Paneer and Nan for 2 people. The quantity was good and taste was excellent. Prices for Breads and Drinks are very reasonable, curries are a bit expensive. Service was polite and decently fast. The ambiance is more Indian than any restaurant back in India ;-). I also loved the touch of popular Hindi songs instrumental music being played in the background. Couple of things missing for any authentic north Indian restaurant: Free tap water as soon as we sit down. And lack of Dal Makhni in the menu. :-(

Extremely rude behavior by the staff. Food is okayish. I asked for authentic Indian and they just added some extra chillies...which is not an authentic one and the food is highly overpriced. Much better ones in the town.
